Gmail & Google access
When you connect Gmail to CleanerPal, you sign in with Google. The app requests only the permissions needed to analyze your inbox and carry out actions you explicitly confirm.
Gmail access (gmail.modify)
CleanerPal requests a single Gmail scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify. This scope is used to read your inbox — to identify subscription senders, count spam messages, and provide cleaning recommendations — and to apply changes only when you explicitly request them, such as unsubscribing from mailing lists, moving emails to Trash, or deleting spam messages.
CleanerPal does not request separate read-only Gmail scopes. We never modify your inbox automatically without your confirmation, and we do not store or share your emails.
Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In provides basic account information (such as your email address and profile name) so CleanerPal can connect to the correct Gmail account.
You can revoke CleanerPal's access at any time from your Google Account permissions. CleanerPal's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
